Cinque Terre – Tuscany (Chianti)- Sorrento & Amalfi Coast

The Grand Tour (literally ‘the great journey’) was a long educational journey across Europe, undertaken from the 17th century onwards by the young aristocrats of the time. The journey, culminated in Italy to round off their cultural education. Of course, that is not our intention; rather, we aim to offer you the chance to experience Italy at a leisurely pace, and to soak up our culture.


Cinque Terre

Our Grand Tour begins at Porto Venere, Cinque Terre, five villages that have stood for generations isolated and reachable only by sea or by winding natural routes. Today it is a romantic hideaway.

Day 1 :  Meet & Greet at Milano Linate airport - @11.00 a.m.We recommend to arrive the day before tour departs, to avoid missing group take-off. *Book flight accordingly.

Private van transfer from Milano to Porto Venere, check-in.

Day 2 : Relax around the village of Porto Venere, or choose these options: Locations & Activities

  • Visit Porto Venere

  • Cruise to Cinque Terre & Islands

  • Hike Cinque Terre

  • Shopping

Day 3 : Depart to Tuscany - Chianti Region by private van. Check-in.

Tuscany - Chianti Region

We then head to the Chianti area in Tuscany. Every season is good for visiting the Chianti area, but spring and autumn are the best times in which the landscape and climate are pleasant and less crowded. “Chianti” is between Florence, Siena and Arezzo.

A series of villages where time stands still, fortresses, churches and country & farm houses: a picturesque nature rich not only in beauty and history but also of unique and inimitable products, such as wine, extra virgin olive oil that have made this region famous worldwide.

We shall accommodate at a Palazzo (historic house) in a medieval village.

Day 4-5-6 : options locations and activities to be booked in advance and settled locally:

Day 7 : Depart to Sorrento Coast by private van. Hotel check-in

Sorrento & Amalfi Coast

When on the Sorrento Coast the stay starts at a fishermen’s village nearly untouched by tourism or car traffic.  Accommodation in a cozy beach hotel which offers a unique incredible view of the Islands, Naples Bay and a swimming pool. Not far from Sorrento and Capri, this unique location offers a few single options for you to choose from, in addition to enjoying swimming in warm, crystal-clear waters.

Day 8-9 : options, locations and activities to be booked in advance and settled locally:

Locations:

  • Visit (cruise by private boat or ferry)

  • Visit Sorrento

  • Visit Pompei (self-guided or with a certified guide)

  • Visit lemon garden

Activities:

  • Mozzarella making

  • Cooking class

  • Limoncello making class

  • Pizza making class

  • Three Tenors concert (if available)

  • Hiking (self-guided)

  • Shopping

Day 10 : Transfer by private van to the most ancient village overlooking Ravello, located on the Amalfi Coast. We will again stay at an historic hotel, each room with a balcony and a view. Hotel Check-in.

Days 11-12-13 : options, locations and activities to be booked in advance and settled locally are:    

Locations:

  • Visit Ravello

  • Visit Amalfi and/or Positano

  • Visit Vietri sul Mare ceramic factories

  • Visit Paestum (Greek temples)

Activities:

  • Group Cooking Class

  • Biking (E-bikes)

  • Hiking (self-guided or with a certified guide)

  • Yoga class on the roof top

  • Boating

  • Pottery class

Day 14 : Departure to Naples airport or train station @9.00 a.m. (2 hours transfer) *Book return flight accordingly, not before 2.00 p.m.

Private van transfer, from Amalfi Coast to Naples Airport or train Station.
